Texas State Board of Education: 2012 Election Recap

Because of redistricting, all 15 seats on the Texas State Board of Education were up for grabs in the 2012 elections. The newly elected board members will decide what the next generation of students in Texas will learn about evolution, social studies, sex education and other subjects. First up on the new board's schedule is the adoption of science textbooks in 2013.
